For this project, I explored the essential of font design through a series of playful exercises that allowed for as much creative freedom as possible. It is important to learn to have fun with typography before applying all the rules that make it more intricate and challenging. 
Part 1: gather 10 images of microscopic creatures.
The images below are all selected from the RISD Nature Lab collection.
  
Part 2: create 24 "parents" based on the images selected in part 1. 
  
Part 3: marry the parents and their offsprings to one another to create different generations of cells.
  
Final part 4: create an alphabet based on the results of part 3.
